A little bit about the person behind the pixels
Hi – I’m Val, the face behind Erskine Digital – a small creative web design studio based in Fife, Scotland.
I’ve always loved a good story, from my background in writing to years spent working with people, I’ve learned the best things start with listening, understanding and a little creativity.
That’s what I bring to web design too.
I started Erskine Digital because I wanted to create something that combines the things I love: creativity, connection and helping people bring their ideas to life.
No confusing jargon. No intimidating processes. Just thoughtful websites, honest conversations and probably a few cups of coffee along the way.

Beyond the websites…
When I’m not playing around with colours, fonts and layouts, you’ll probably find me curled up with a good book, enjoying a strong coffee or dreaming up my next creative project.
I’ve always been a bit of a creative soul, and I love the details that make something feel special – whether it’s a beautifully designed website, a cosy space or a really good story
Three little facts about me:
- Professionally Bookish – I’ve got a degree in English Literature, which is really just a fancy way of saying I’ve spend years overthinking words. Luckily, that comes in handy when writing website copy.
- A Creative Magpie – Give me a gorgeous colour palette, an interesting font or a beautifully designed space and I’m a happy woman. Do I spend far too long deciding between two almost identical shades of pink? Absolutely!
- Powered by Caffeine and Curiosity – I’m a big fan of good conversations, slightly ridiculous ideas and asking approximately 250 questions until I understand exactly what someone has in mind. Consider yourself warned.
